Summit Carbon Solutions files for pipeline permit in Iowa

The company behind what could become the world’s largest carbon capture project announced Tuesday, Feb. 1, that it has filed its first permit application with the Iowa Utilities Board.

Iowa-based Summit Carbon Solutions plans to gather carbon from ethanol plants in five states and send liquid carbon dioxide to western North Dakota for underground storage.
