AMES, Iowa (July 13th, 2022) – Summit Carbon Solutions is pleased to announce that Sabrina Ahmed Zenor is joining the company as the Director of Community Relations.
“For more than a year, Summit Carbon Solutions has been partnering with local communities and other organizations across the Midwest to open new economic opportunities, improve environmental outcomes, and drive growth in the ethanol and agricultural industries,” said Ahmed Zenor. “I’m excited to join the Summit Carbon Solutions team as the Director of Community Relations to help them continue to achieve these goals, while identifying new partnerships and collaborations as the project progresses.”
As the Director of Community Relations, Ahmed Zenor will play a key role in helping Summit Carbon Solutions continue to support a broad range of local organizations that will improve the lives of families across the Midwest, particularly when it comes to causes related to job creation, investing in rural communities, enhancing public safety, and reducing emissions.

Ahmed Zenor brings 10 years of experience working with a wide range of stakeholders and communities across the state of Iowa. Most recently, she worked as the morning news anchor on Local 5 News (WOI), Channel 5, and was the host of “This Week in Iowa”. Ahmed Zenor earned the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Political Reporting and the Edward R. Murrow Award for her story “Moving for Medicine.” She also received an Upper Midwest Emmy for “Medicine in the Making: This Week in Iowa Special.”
Ahmed Zenor lives in Des Moines, Iowa with her husband and two young children.
